With 15 years of extensive experience in exports, Camaronera de Coclé, S.A. sent a container with 40 thousand pounds of frozen farmed shrimp to New York, with the stamp “Panama Exports.”
CAMACO placed its trust in the Panama Exporta trademark, endorsed by the Ministry of Agricultural Development (MIDA) and the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MICI), which are promoting exports in favor of the local Panamanian producer.
The inaugural shipment took place at the facilities of Altrix de Panamá, S.A. (Camarón packing company, owned by Grupo Calesa), last Thursday, June 28, 2018.
The General Manager of CAMACO, Eng. Roberto Chamorro, explained that the shrimp farming activity is being reactivated with the efforts to motivate the investment in this important item, which benefits the entire province of Coclé, especially for the employment it generates.
